Luke Burns, MD is a 1st year Maternal-Fetal Medicine Fellow at the University of Chicago. His research interests include labor induction practices and the implementation of angiogenic biomarkers in the prediction of preeclampsia. Dr. Burns originally hails from the United Kingdom, but attended medical school in California and became a US citizen in 2020. He graduated from the University of Michigan OBGYN Residency Program in 2022 and served as an Assistant Clinical Professor there for a year before beginning fellowship. He has a strong interest in writing, and has published creative non-fiction in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Contemporary OBGYN.
