Cresta Jones received her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin, and completed her OB-gyn residency and maternal fetal medicine fellowship at the University of Vermont. In 2020, she also become board certified in addiction medicine. She currently serves as an associate professor at the University of Minnesota, with clinical research involving the long term developmental effects of prenatal opioid exposure and cord blood hormonal changes associated with neonatal opioid withdrawl syndrome. She is also an ACOG Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders Champion, co-chair of the Minnesota Maternal Mortality Review Commitee, and a member of the Minnesota Task Force on Pregnancy Health and Substance Use.
