Corrina M. Oxford-Horrey, MD

Dr. Oxford-Horrey is one of the few Obstetric Intensivists in the United States, and the Medical Director of Labor & Delivery at the Weill Cornell Medical Center, Alexandria Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns. In late 2012, she served as the Director of Obstetric Services at the Pennsylvania Hospital for three years, where she maintained a clinical focus on high acuity maternal care and administrative efforts in Quality Improvement and Patient Safety. In 2018, she became the Co-Director of the Pregnancy and Heart Disease Program at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Over the course of the past 10 years, Dr. Oxford-Horrey has spent anywhere between 10-25% of her clinical time devoted to the care of patients with critically-illness in various Intensive Care Unit settings including: Surgical ICU, Burn-Trauma ICU, Medical ICU, and the Cardiothoracic Intermediate Care Unit. She has a demonstrated a strong dedication to improving high acuity maternal care in patients with severe maternal morbidity with the use of simulation education, local and national speaking engagements and publications on hemodynamics of pregnancy, trauma and critical illness in pregnancy.
