Andrew Healy is a Maternal-Fetal Medicine physician at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, MA and an assistant professor at the University of Massachusetts Medical School-Baystate. He joined the Baystate Medical Center faculty in 2006 after completing his fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian and has served as the Medical Director of Obstetrics at Baystate since 2011.
A primary focus of Andrew’s work has been on improving quality and safety in patient care. Andrew is an advisor to the MA state quality collaborative (PNQIN), serves on the MA Maternal Mortality Review Committee, and is a member of the MA Maternal Health Task Force. This task force was created by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (MDPH) to develop a strategic plan to improve maternal health in the Commonwealth and eliminate racial and ethnic disparities. Andrew served on the SMFM Patient Safety and Quality Committee from 2020 – 2023 with his efforts focused on telemedicine, hypertension, and placenta accreta spectrum disorder patients.
