Darren Orbach, MD PhD, is Co-Director of the Cerebrovascular Surgery and Interventions Center and Sage Schermerhorn Chair of Image-Guided Therapy at Boston Children’s Hospital, as well as Vice President of the World Federation of Interventional & Therapeutic Neuroradiology. He has active research interests in vascular anomalies of the brain and spine, cerebrovascular disease in children and fetuses, and advanced MRI-based techniques for quantification and analysis of flow and perfusion in these conditions. He developed a technique for performing transuterine fetal embolization of vein of Galen malformation, and is PI of a clinical trial to assess the safety and efficacy of this approach.
