Mariana Masteling, MSc, PhD (she/her/hers)

University of Michigan

Mariana Masteling, Ph.D., is a research fellow at the University of Michigan. She obtained her Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan in January 2023. Her interests are in pelvic floor injury prevention during childbirth, specifically how the viscoelastic properties of the lower birth canal tissues affect the duration of the second stage of labor and the risk for levator ani injury.
