Elizabeth Kravitz, MD, is a third year resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. She is from Austin, Texas, attended the University of Texas at Austin where she received a bachelor of science in Neuroscience and Certificate in Business Foundations at the McCombs School of Business. She received her Medical Degree from Baylor College of Medicine. Her research interests include equity in distribution and access to reproductive health services, disparities in maternal morbidity and mortality, and addressing persistent criminalization of pregnant persons. She is a Society of Family Planning Emerging Scholar, with ongoing research projects including the utilization community-based participatory research in the Rio Grande Valley, a resource poor region of Texas, to develop relationships and the foundation for further partnerships towards the shared goal of improving access to abortion and contraception. She has a partnership with Penn Law School's Advocacy for Racial and Civil Justice Clinic regarding the criminalization of pregnant persons through the use of Urine Drug Screening. Elizabeth will be applying to a fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine in spring 2024.
