Associate Professor
Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital
Amanda Roman, MD I am currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, PA. I am a foreign medical school graduate from Colombia, where I specialized in Obstetrics/Gynecology and worked as an attending and faculty instructor in two different medical schools. I later undertook another residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX. and a fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine at Hofstra North Shore-LIJ School of Medicine, NY. I am interested in preterm birth prevention in twin pregnancy and I am the primary investigator of two randomized controlled trials: twins with cervical dilation before 24 weeks (cerclage vs no cerclage) and twins with cervical length less than 15 mm before 24 weeks (cerclage vs no cerclage). I also have interest in the diagnosis and management of hypertensive disorders, diabetes in pregnancy and placenta accreta spectrum.
