I grew up in Wellesley, MA and went to Amherst College where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a BA in Political Science. I completed my MD at the Pritzker School of Medicine, University of Chicago in 1997. I trained at Northwestern University for my OB/GYN residency, MFM Fellowship. I received a health services research fellowship (T32 funding mechanism), my MPH and subsequently a Women’s Reproductive Health Research Award (K12 funding mechanism) at Northwestern where I continued as faculty until 2008. I then relocated to Evanston Hospital, NorthShore University HealthSystem, now Endeavor Health.
Throughout my career, I have been deeply invested in research, education and health care quality. My research interests focus on maternal and fetal health outcomes. I have been the site Principal Investigator for the Maternal-Fetal Medicine Units Network since 2016. I was the Site Director of the residency program (2009- 2016) and have mentored tens of students, residents and fellows.
