Bobby Karandeep Singh Brar MD is a second year fellow in the combined Maternal - Fetal Medicine and Medical Genetics training program at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. His research interests include skeletal dysplasias, prenatal genetic testing, and prenatal phenotyping.
Dr. Brar received his Bachelors of Science in Biology from the Honors College at Virginia Commonwealth University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He also received his medical degree from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and was inducted as a fourth year medical student into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Brar completed his residency at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Medicine. During his residency, he completed many research projects and developed an Apple IPhone app titled “My Genes, My Baby” to aid in prenatal genetic counseling. He was also named a Resident Scholar (formerly Quilligan Scholar) by the Foundation for the Society for Maternal - Fetal Medicine. He has published his research in various high impact journals and has presented at various national and international meetings including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists Annual Clinical and Scientific Meeting, the Annual Society for Maternal - Fetal Medicine Pregnancy Meeting, the American College of Medical Genetics and Genomics Annual Clinical Genetics Meeting, the World Congress On Ultrasound in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine National Convention. In his free time, Dr. Brar enjoys spending time with his family and watching basketball, football, and baseball.
