Dr. Swayze is a PGY-2 OB/GYN resident at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. She received her Bachelor of Sciences in Psychology at Boston College in 2015. She received her Master of Medical Science Degree at Boston University in 2017. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Western Michigan Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in 2022. In between her third and fourth year of medical school, Dr. Swayze completed the South American Program in HIV Prevention Research (SAPHIR) Fellowship at UCLA where she worked with physicians at both UCLA and Hospital Conceicao in Porto Alegre, Brazil to investigate maternal to child transmission of HIV and syphilis.
She is a member of the Gold Humanism Society and is comitted to working with underseved populations.
