Cassandra Heiselman DO, MPH is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University. She attended Boston University for undergraduate college, where she received a BA with distinction in International Relations. Dr. Heiselman then attended Tulane's School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine receiving her Masters in Public Health (Epidemiology), along with induction into the Delta Omega Honorary Society. She then went on to receive her Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O) degree from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. She completed her OB/GYN residency training at Cleveland Clinic Akron General in Akron, Ohio, where she acted as Educational and Research Chief. She went on to complete her Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship at Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University in Stony Brook, NY in 2021. Her research interests include opioid use disorders in pregnancy, infectious diseases in pregnancy, behavioral health disorders in pregnancy, machine learning, fetal heart rate signal processing and educational research. She has received several awards throughout her career in both teaching and research.
