My name is Katarina Schneiderman and I am a third-year M.D. candidate at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. I'm a medical humanities enthusiast with clinical and research interests in patient-provider communication, creative mixed-methods research, and health equity in obstetrics and gynecology. I am co-mentored by Dr. Katherine P Himes at Dartmouth-Hicthcock Medical Center and Dr. Judy Chang at the Magee Women's Research Institute. My current research focuses on patient-provider communication in the context of periviable birth and how to optimize sources of support for patients with their care team, while simultaneously diminishing sources of conflict.
