In our cohort, the positive predictive value of one or two “lethal” ultrasound markers was lower in fetuses diagnosed at >= 28 weeks compared to those diagnosed earlier in pregnancy. This highlights the importance of thorough ultrasound examination, genetic testing, and balanced parental counseling particularly in patients presenting later in gestation.
