Statement:
Since my arrival at the CUSOM in 1995, I have had the distinct privilege of serving as an educator (and learning) for medical students, residents and fellows), actively conducting and collaborating in scholarly activities, and caring for high risk OB patients (all the endearing features of academic medicine). Currently, I remain clinically active seeing patients and working with trainees 4-5 days per week. In 2012 the majority of my clinical focus shifted towards evaluation and delivery of the fetus with anomalies, providing fetal surgical interventions, and serving as co-director at the Colorado Fetal Care Center at Children’s Hospital of Colorado. In general, my research interests continue to be in the areas of fetal growth restriction, fetal interventions and outcomes, and fetal anomalies Over the past 17 years, I have had the privilege to serve as an editor for the textbook “Obstetrics: Normal and Problem Pregnancies” started by three great mentors, Drs. Gabbe, Niebyl and Simpson.
