My name is Jen Gilner, a Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialist at Duke University with focused expertise in Placenta Accreta Spectrum care, inpatient obstetric medicine, and management of preterm birth. As a clinician-scientist, I have built my career around the care of women throughout pregnancy, while simultaneously working to advance the scientific understanding of pregnancy complications. I have advanced training in the clinical and unique surgical care of women with pregnancies affected by medical conditions or pregnancy-related complications, as well as basic science expertise in immunology and tolerance mechanisms of pregnancy.
In my role as Medical Director of the Duke Birthing Center, I am committed to reducing maternal morbidity and mortality, advancing the field of PAS care, and training the next generation of high-risk pregnancy specialists.
