Shannon Kay is an Instructor of Medicine in the Section of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine at the Yale University School of Medicine. She completed medical school at Stony Brook University, then her internal medicine and chief medical residency at the University of Michigan, and finally her pulmonary and critical care fellowship at Yale University, where she joined faculty in 2023. She is part of the Yale Center for Asthma and Airways Disease, where she cares for patients with severe asthma. She also cares for patients in the medical intensive care unit and inpatient pulmonary consult service. Her research focuses on evaluating sex differences and sex hormone influence in asthma throughout the lifespan.
