Heather Straub, MD is an Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado. She spent 4 years in MFM private practice where she learned about utilization of MD support professionals to optimize patient care on a healthcare system level. She has a passion for optimizing diabetic care during pregnancy by providing a variety of strategies to meet patients where they are at.
In addition to her interest in diabetes in pregnancy, she has completed a clinical medical ethics fellowship through the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics at the University of Colorado. Her research interests include maternal mental health, complex ethical issues in obstetrics, substance use in pregnancy and resident ethics education in obstetrics and gynecology.
