Dr. Paula Benny, MSc, PhD. University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health.
Dr. Benny completed her graduate studies at the National University of Singapore and holds a Masters in Biomedical Sciences and a PhD in Biochemistry. Dr. Benny completed her postdoctoral training with Dr. L. Garmire at the University of Hawaii Cancer Center, Department of Epidemiology where she managed the wet-laboratory and was involved in single-cell and multi-omics experiments. She also learned bioinformatics pipelines to process the big data generated from these experiments. Dr. Benny now works as a Research Fellow in the laboratory of Dr. MJ Lee where she is involved in prospective studies in human subjects research, biobanking and in vitro 2D and 3D models of adverse pregnancy outcomes.
