Kerly Guerrero, MD is a second year MFM Fellow at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx, New York. Dr. Guerrero was born in Ecuador and moved to the United states at the age of four. She completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ. She then went on to earn her medical degree at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. As a medical student Dr. Guerrero worked close with her community in various community service projects including the student-run clinic that serves the local underserved community. She also worked closely with Latinas United for Political Empowerment (LUPE), an organization that worked to educate and empower young Latinas and provides mentorship and exposure to civic engagement. Dr. Guerrero's intrest involve health disparities and imporoving maternal outcomes.
Through her clinical work, research and community involvement, she plans to create opportunities for other first-generation latino(a) physicians and medical students. She plans to continue serving her community and providing adequate care for minority patients.
