My passion is education and innovation. I went to the Mayo Clinic in 2003 to establish the MFM Fellowship Program and to serve as the Fellowship Director . Because of my fascination with simulation as an educational tool, I was hooked up with a fantastic group of educators that were about to start planning a new multidisciplinary simulation center at Mayo Clinic and helped with the design of this unique simulation space. I have utilized innovative approaches to providing Obstetric and Maternal Fetal Medicine care in both and in-patient and out-patient setting. We have developed novel approaches to improving clinical procedures such as cervical cerclage, ultrasound guided needle procedures and incarcerated uterus in pregnancy just to name a few examples. I worked until 2014 as the Simulation Center Operations Director. He was recruited to the Mayo Clinic Center of Innovation to lead the Culture and Competency of Innovation Core and guide a multitude of groups at Mayo on their Innovation journey.
