Nasim Sobhani is an assistant professor in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). A native Texan, she received her undergraduate degree in Psychology/Neuroscience from Princeton University and her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School. She completed residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Washington and fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the UCSF. Since joining the faculty at her alma mater, Dr. Sobhani has served as the medical director for the Endocrine, Diabetes, and Pregnancy Program, a multidisciplinary program responsible for overseeing the care and management of all pregnant individuals with diabetes at UCSF, including those with type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes, and gestational diabetes. She has continued to pursue her clinical and research interests of pre-existing medical complications on pregnancy, with a particaulr focus on type 1 diabetes.
