May Abiad, MD, currently serves as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Maternal Fetal Care Center (MFCC), Division of Fetal Surgery and Newborn Medicine, Boston Children’s Hospital, and previously at the Massachusetts General Hospital's Department of Surgery. Her academic journey began at the American University of Beirut, where she received her MD and BS in Biology with Distinction. May has been honored with several awards, including the SHARP Fellowship Award and induction into the Gold Humanism Honor Society, reflecting her dedication to medical excellence and compassionate care.
Her research spans various aspects of OBGYN and maternal critical care, aiming to improve patient outcomes through innovation and scientific exploration. May has also demonstrated leadership and commitment to community service, founding health-focused groups and participating in volunteer projects that address the needs of underserved communities. Her published works illustrate her contribution to advancing medical knowledge and patient care practices. Her current work at MFCC focuses on health outcomes research as well as various aspects of fetal interventions.
