Dr. Jennifer McIntosh, D.O. M.S. is an Associate Professor in the Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine, Department of OB/GYN at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Dr. McIntosh received her Medical degree from Michigan State University, completed residency at Indiana University, and fellowship at the University of Oklahoma. During her time in fellowship she obtained a Master’s degree in Clinical and Translational Science.
Dr. McIntosh's clinical expertise include preterm birth prevention, preeclampsia, and hematologic diseases in pregnancy. These clinical interests mirror her clinical and translational research endeavors. At MCW she developped and co-leads the combined Maternal Fetal Medicine-Hematology Clinic which specifically serves high-risk obstetric patients with hematologic diseases. She collaborates closely with MCW hematologists at Versiti (formerly the Blood Center of Wisconsin) as well as nationally. Her publications in the area of hematoogy focus on microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, platelet disorders, and anemia in pregnancy. In her translational research lab, Dr. McIntosh is funded by NHLBI and studies the relationship between placental mitochondrial damage and vascular dysfunction in preeclampsia.
