University of Texas Medical Branch
Carole Barake, MD, University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston is currently an OBGYN resident at UTMB. Dr. Barake completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology residency in Lebanon. However, she left home to the United States in order to fulfill another goal of hers: becoming a physician-scientist.
There, she started in Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS) a post-doctoral research fellowship where she worked alongside the MFM team and learned to study the subtle signs in early stages of pregnancy that could end up saving both mom and baby years of suffering.
Dr. Barake looks to thrive in a career in academic medicine. Her great passion for research will be the fuel driving her to always search for answers and fill in gaps in the literature especially in the field of maternal fetal medicine to establish the knowledge needed to provide excellent care for patients.
