Melissa L. Russo M.D. is a specialist in maternal-fetal medicine and clinical genetics and assistant professor at Brown University . She currently works at Women and Infants Hospital, an affiliate of Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and is the Director of Prenatal Genetics. In her role in prenatal genetics, her research is focused on development of patient decisional tools about prenatal genetic testing and privacy considerations with prenatal genetic testing. She was on ACOGs Genetics Committee and currently serves on ACOGs Clinical Consensus Committee on Obstetrics. She additionally has clinical and research interests in Cardio-Obstetrics and is co-leader of Cardio-Obstetric Team at her institution. Her current research, funded by the Marfan Foundation Clinical Grant, examines factors associated with adverse obstetric and cardiovascular outcomes in women with connective tissue conditions.
