Dr. Amrita Roy, MBBCh, is a third year maternal fetal medicine fellow at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Roy obtained her medical degree at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, and matched to Baystate Medical Center for residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Upon graduation she worked as a generalist OB-GYN on faculty at Baystate Medical Center, primarily focusing on high-risk obstetrics and her passion for resident education, being awarded the CREOG National Faculty Award 3 years in a row. She then matched into fellowship in Maternal Fetal Medicine at the University of Rochester. Dr. Roy's research interests include hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, perinatal mental health, critical care and trauma informed care. Dr. Roy lives with her husband and children. Her hobbies include cooking elaborate meals, baking, reading, and painting.
