Kwame Adu-Bonsaffoh is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Ghana Medical School, and a Consultant Obstetrician/Gynecologist at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital. He has extensive clinical and research experience in maternal health in Ghana including hypertensive disorders in pregnancy (preeclampsia), C-sections/VBAC, postpartum hemorrhage, preterm birth, respectful maternity care, maternal morbidity and mortality. He has served as a Consultant for the WHO on several Maternal and Reproductive Health projects including Maternal Morbidity and respectful maternity care.
Currently, Dr Adu-Bonsaffoh is the Senior Tutor/Chair for the University of Ghana Medical Students’ Hostel and Chairman of the College of Health Science Hostel Management Committee. He has an exceptional passion for students’ affairs and welfare. Dr Adu-Bonsaffoh is the Director of the African Branch/South American Branch of the Preterm Birth International Collaborative (PREBIC).
