Christina A. Penfield, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor at NYU Langone Health and Bellevue Hospital. She received her medical degree from the University of California, Irvine Medical Center where she participated in the Program in Medical Education for the Latino Community (PRIME-LC). She has a Masters in Public Health with a focus on Maternal Child Health from the University of California, Berkeley. She completed residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at University of California, Irvine Medical Center.
Dr. Penfield’s clinical and research interests include hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, perinatal epidemiology, health disparities, COVID-19 infection in pregnancy, and risk prediction and decision-making. She has research experience in randomized controlled trials as well as observational research with large national datasets and prediction analytics.
