Naomi Greene MPH PhD is a perinatal epidemiologist and Assistant Professor of Research in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. She also holds an Adjunct Assistant Professorship from the Fielding School of Public Health Epidemiology Department at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Greene earned her PhD in Epidemiology as well as a Master of Public Health in Community Health Sciences from UCLA.
From an early background in high risk obstetric and women’s health ultrasound, Dr. Greene went on to utilize international administrative datasets as well as other sources of big data to study long-term outcomes of early life exposure to maternal medications as well as associations between environmental exposures and Parkinson’s disease. Currently, she is working with colleagues in the Ob/Gyn Department at Cedars-Sinai on multiple studies regarding preeclampsia, severe maternal morbidity, exclusive breastfeeding, and race/ethnicity disparities in healthcare utilization as well as maternal outcomes. In addition to teaching and mentoring, Dr. Greene is also undertaking collaborative work with other disciplines and organizations to study long-term outcomes of offspring following adverse perinatal outcomes such a small for gestational age and preterm birth.
