Stanford University
I'm Associate Director of Research at the Stanford University Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology.
After finishing my MD PhD degree, my research career has focused on clinical and population health research in Maternal-Fetal Medicine spanning from diagnosis and management of fetal growth restriction to trends in out-of-hospital births in California. Most recently my work has been in understanding increasing trends of severe maternal morbidity and the opportunities of improving immediate postpartum care.
In my role as the Associate Director of Research, I provide management and coordination of research functions, monitor the research resource needs in the Department, make recommendations to the Department Chair and the Division Chiefs. I have developed the Obstetrics & Gynecology Clinical Research Unit support structure and implemented new peer-review processes to increase the Ob & Gyn research capacity and impact. I have supervised, coached and mentored 40+ research professionals including clinical research and laboratory managers, biostatisticians and grant writers.
