Dr. Emmanuel Bujold is a full professor at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology of Laval University's School of Medicine where he holds the Jeanne et Jean-Louis Lévesque Research Chair in Perinatology.
He completed his medical studies and his residency in obstetrics/gynaecology at the University of Montreal, Quebec, Canada, his fellowship in maternal fetal medicine at Wayne State University, Michigan, USA, and a Masters in epidemiology at Laval University, Quebec Canada. His research centers on vaginal birth after cesarean, uterine rupture, preterm labor and delivery, as well as the prediction and prevention of preeclampsia and IUGR. Leading several large Canadian pregnancy cohorts and one of the largest Canadian Pregnancy Research Units focused on the discovery and validation of pregnancy outcome markers, Dr. Bujold has authored more than 700 scientific communications and more than 275 peer-reviewed articles.
