Ravyn Njagu is a fourth-year Obstetrics and Gynecology resident at Duke University, where she also completed her medical school education. Born and raised in North Carolina, Ravyn has established herself as a promising medical professional with a passion for women’s health.
Ravyn’s primary research focus revolves around infectious diseases. She has dedicated time and effort to understanding the implications of COVID-19 on vaccination rates among pregnant patients. Data from this research was initially presented at the Infectious Diseases Society for Obstetrics and Gynecology (IDSOG) annual conference in 2023 with additional data to be presented at the Society of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (SMFM) annual conference. Her research provides insight about vaccine hesitancy surrounding the pandemic to better inform vaccination programs in this vulnerable population.
Looking ahead, Ravyn Njagu plans to transition into private practice after completing her resident at Duke University. As she moves forward in her career, Ravyn remains dedicated to providing high-quality care to women, driven by her passion for improving maternal-fetal outcomes.
