Lauriane Lessard is a 4th-year medical student at Laval University, and she is part of Dr. Emmanuel Bujold's research team at the Centre de recherche du CHU de Québec. She comes from Quebec, Canada.
She has a keen interest in obstetrics and research. For the past three years, she has been involved in research projects under the supervision of Dr. Emmanuel Bujold, a clinician and researcher in obstetrics. His extensive research has led to improved prediction and prevention of pre-eclampsia.
She recently published an article on the comparison between transvaginal and transabdominal ultrasound for the detection of uterine scar defects. She also contributed to a letter to the editor on aspirin for the prevention of pre-eclampsia. She is currently studying cervical length measurement, cervical elastography and 3D scan of the fetal thigh.
