Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center
My name is Anna Farooqi, and I am a third-year medical student at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine pursuing OBGYN as my specialty.
Throughout medical school, I have been actively involved in women’s health initiatives. Specifically, I was on the leadership team for my school’s chapter of the Association of Women Surgeons, was the women’s health coordinator and leadership team member at our student-run free clinic, and am currently a leadership member for the Refugee Health Screening Project working to expand women’s health screening access and availability to affected populations. In terms or research, I have been involved in bench research focusing on embryo studies for in vitro fertilization and well as sperm viability in special collection devices and projects with my school’s Infant Risk Center. Additionally, I am grateful to be working with MFM fellows and physicians at other institutions and gaining more insight into research and women’s health through studies dedicated to trends and outcomes in varying aspects of maternal health.
I am looking forward to presenting at this conference and learning from all providers present!
