She completed her residency in OBGYN at Shamir Medical Center. Today she is the Chair of the Department of Gynecology and Obstetrics and a senior lecturer at Azrieli Faculty of Medicine, Bar-Ilan University, where she coordinates medical students’ courses such as their pre-clerkship OBGYN course and the simulation course in laparoscopic surgery and gynecologic examinations, as well as the Medical Exposure Course and an elective Emergency Medicine course.
Dr. Wolf conducts clinical research and has initiated several multicenter studies. She has piloted several randomized clinical trials. One investigated the prophylactic antibiotic treatment in PPROM comparing two antibiotic regimens (presented at the plenary session in the SMFM 2022 conference in San Francisco, CA) another examined digital vs. speculum-guided catheter balloon insertion for cervical ripening in multiparas. Among Dr. Wolf’s prospective studies have been an examination of the vertical transmission rate of ESBL-producing enterobacteriaceae during preterm deliveries, the use of a Fibroscan test for detection of preeclampsia, and a comparison of the single-balloon catheter vs a milk pump for labor induction in women with previous CS. Other studies examined the antibiotic treatment of women with isolated intrapartum fever vs. clinical chorioamnionitis, late-diagnosed gestational diabetes, and evaluation of the efficacy of colposcopy in the diagnosis of bleeding during the third trimesters.
Those studies were published in the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology MFM, the International Journal of Gynecology & Obstetrics, Reproductive Sciences, Microorganisms, the International Journal of Infectious Diseases, and others.
Dr. Wolf has served on many public committees and is the current Chair of the Haifa and Northern Region branch of the Israeli Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
